“Molor” Foundation for Education & Survey to Control HIV/AIDS and Drug was established in 21 November 2001 and registered at the State Registration Office under the Certificate No. 2356 with the registration No. 1013033.
It is a voluntary non-government organization, which works in collaboration with police, boundary custom, health institutions and International Organizations to protect people from HIV/ADS and Drug abuse.
The missions of the Foundation are:
- To provide accurate and appropriate information and education to protect people from HIV/AIDS, drug and drug abuse through IEC activities
- To develop appropriate teaching manual and to train teachers or school health educators on how to increase awareness of adolescents on HIV/AIDS, drug related issues and how to develop their skills to protect from HIV/AIDS and using drugs.
- To conduct surveys on HIV/AIDS and drug abuse among general population and high risk population groups
- To educate young people, especially those who are in the drug user’s community, about the implications of drug for health and social well-being and how to prevent HIV/AIDS
- To educate young people, especially those who are in the drug user’s community, about the implications of drug for health and social well-being and how to prevent HIV/AIDS
- To work with young people who are drug users, encourage existing drug users to stop through outreach work and peer education.
Foundation implement the National Program Against Drug Abuse and the National AIDS Program in collaboration with the government and non-government organizations in Mongolia.
Foundation work closely with the Association to Protect People from Drug and Opium (APPDO).
Foundation also cooperate with the International Organizations and related organizations from different countries, which work in the field of HIV/AIDS and Drug.
